Long Billed Corella can be found in open forest, woodland and farmlands. They are usually seen flying in flocks of up to 2000 birds although during the breeding season they can be seen in pairs.
Their diet consists of seed, nuts, fruits, berries as well as insects and their larvae.
They nest high up in the hollow of a tree, normally a eucalyptus tree. While they are nesting they don't stray far from their nest. A normal clutch is 2-3 eggs.
The adult plumage of the Long Billed Corella is white. They have a wash of pink over their face and breast and red feathers on their throat and in front of their eyes. As with a lot of Cockatoos their undertail and underwing have a yellow wash. Their eye ring is blue, iris's a dark brown and their legs grey.
Pet potential: Long Billed Corellas make amusing affectionate pets with amazing mimicking abilities. They are very lively, outgoing birds and full of fun. They are demanding birds like all Cockatoos, but they are not as destructive as some. They will need plenty of toys as they are very active and will need a lot of stimulation, otherwise they may exhibit behavioural problems. Because of their demanding nature and their need for constant attention this bird is not suitable as a pet for young children.

Interesting fact: During feeding they use their long upper mandible to grub up seeds, bulbs and roots from in the ground.
