The Patagonian Conure lives in rocky areas in the Andes. They live in large colonies.
They burrow into cliffs and rocks to nest and a normal clutch is 2-3 eggs.
The plumage of the adult Patagonian Conure is mostly olive brown. They have a yellowish belly with a reddish patch on it. The have yellowish eyes with a white eye ring. Their beak is grey and their legs are flesh coloured.
Pet potential: Patagonian Conures are very astute birds. They are easy to train and teach tricks to. However they are very noisy birds and can become aggressive in breeding season. They are also very destructive so lots of toys is a must!
Talking ability: Fair (not as good as the Blue Crowned but better than most Conures)
